The annual Open Call for Sónar+D Istanbul, the Creativity and Technology Platform of Sónar Istanbul, is here! We invite you to share your ideas and join us for the 9th edition of our festival, happening on May 9 & 10, 2025. Submit your projects by February 21, 2025, and become a part of this inspiring experience. Details of the application process are provided below.

 

What is Sónar+D Istanbul?

Today, the ideas, languages, and tools emerging from new creative communities are profoundly influencing the arts and creative industries in ways beyond our imagination. From technological innovations to business and social transformations, creatives are shaping new possibilities across industries and sectors.

 

Sónar+D Istanbul is an international platform that brings together professionals, researchers, designers, academics, and artists from diverse fields. It explores how creative minds are reimagining the present and envisioning the future.

 

For both professionals and enthusiasts, Sónar+D Istanbul offers a unique, inspiring, and open environment to discover innovative works, find new opportunities, acquire skills, build networks, and showcase productions. The day-long event features talks, workshops, installations, 3D experiences, one-on-one mentoring, community gatherings, and much more.

 

 

Open Call Details

 

Participation Requirements

  • Type of Work: Live A.V. Performance

  • Duration: Minimum 7 – Maximum 15 minutes

  • Venue/Platform: SonarScreen – Zorlu PSM

To apply, submit a 30-second demo of your work and your project presentation via email to sonard@zorlupsm.com. All applications will be reviewed by the curatorial teams of Sónar Barcelona and Sónar Istanbul.

 

Important Note:
Sónar+D Istanbul will provide basic infrastructure, including electricity, space, tables, chairs, and seating areas, to support your project exhibition. However, participants are responsible for bringing any additional technical and display equipment needed for their presentations.
