Sónar Istanbul today reveals the first names for the 2024 edition of the festival. For the eighth consecutive year, the festival returns to its habitual home at Zorlu PSM, this time for three days, on the 26th, 27th and 28th of April next year. The first ten names from the musical programme have been announced today.

Adam Beyer | Eliza Rose | Ellen Allien b2b Nene H | Hyenah | Marcel Dettmann (live) | DJ Mell G | Olof Dreijer | Ryoji Ikeda - Ultratronics (live set) | Sevdaliza | William Basinski

Drumcode founder and techno pioneer Adam Beyer is joined by some of Berlin’s finest: BPitch Control label owner and Berlin icon Ellen Allien goes back-to-back with Turkish-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer Nene H; while Berghain resident and Ostgut Ton stalwart Marcel Dettmann appears live.

Multi-talented artist and performer Sevdaliza will also perform live, alongside two experimental pioneers who explore minimalism in different ways: the swirling drones of fêted avant-garde composer William Basinski are a perfect complement to Japanese glitch maestro Ryoji Ikeda’s stark audiovisual show ‘Ultratronics’.

Rounding out the lineup are DJ sets from breakthrough UK house and garage star Eliza Rose; radical producer Olof Dreijer, known for his work as one half of The Knife; Hamburg electro firebrand DJ Mell G; and masked deep house selector Hyenah.

These are just some of the names who’ll appear in Istanbul next April: more artists will be announced early next year, alongside a full Sónar+D programme featuring performancesconferences and installations.
