Modeselektor, the dynamic duo of Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary, have been a driving force in the electronic music scene since the early 2000s. Known for their flamboyant DJ sets and genre-defying productions, their journey began in the early 90s during the rave scene on the outskirts of Berlin. After relocating to the post-Wall capital, they became central to a close-knit community of artists and friends, including the multimedia collective Pfadfinderei.

Pfadfinderei played a key role in shaping Modeselektor’s visual identity, from designing their iconic monkey logo to crafting visuals for their legendary Labstyle parties held in Berlin-Mitte clubs during the late 90s. This collaboration continues to influence Modeselektor's live shows and record artwork, solidifying their status as pioneers at the intersection of sound and vision.
