Cora Novoa’s music lives at the intersection of technology, instinct and artistic vision. Trained in classical music before discovering electronic production through computer science, the Spanish producer and DJ has built a singular sound world where precision and emotion coexist.
After years moving between Madrid and Berlin, she settled in Barcelona, where she founded Seeking The Velvet, an independent platform for electronic and experimental pop that extends beyond music into visual art and performance. Her productions have found a home on labels such as Turbo Recordings (Tiga) and Citizen Records (Vitalic), earning support from some of techno’s most respected selectors, including Luke Slater, Marcel Dettmann and Dave Clarke.
Novoa’s work is driven by evolution. Early melodic structures gradually give way to more radical forms, shaped by modular synthesis, analog machines and narrative-led sound design. Her albums—Fight Love Faith, The Hive and the Mental Diary trilogy—trace a clear arc: from introspection to collective intensity, from control to release.
Whether in the studio or behind the decks, Cora Novoa delivers techno that is cerebral yet physical, refined yet confrontational—music designed not just to be heard, but fully inhabited.
