Over the last year Black Coffee has fully established his presence in the major leagues of international clubbing, most noticeably following his connection with Drake –with the Canadian sampling his track "Superman"- in one of his most memorable hits to date, the recently released "More Life". The South African artist’s music, either via his releases or his superb sets, is impeccably placed to please a wide ranging audience: soulful house and afro funk, with an emotive touch and a warm groove that causes his audiences to react with wild abandon.
Nkosinathi Maphumulo has been involved in the African music scene for many years and is widely admired and respected for his knowledge, experience and high level of artistry. He made his debut in 2005, reinterpreting "Stimela" by Hugh Massekela, followed by several magnificent LPs and the creation of the Soulistic label. Since his early years he has stood out for his natural ability to blend house with soul, alternative African percussions, organic sounding electronics, jazz elements and vocals.
